About Me

My photo
I live on 6 deeply wooded acres in the boonies of Middleville, MI. I'm married to an amazing man, Brian. He's pretty much the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm a big animal lover. I have 5 cats; Bella (6), Cognac (3), Georgia (3), Maggie (2), & Auggie (8-9mos.) We recently lost our kittens, Aesop & Amelia, to a battle with Feline Leukemia. I feel the need to mention them. They were amazing beings that showed unconditional love like no other cats I've had. I also have Cheech (9) that I'm fostering. We have two puppies; Charlie & Henry. Having a blast! I'm a dabbler in photography, photo shop, & crafts. I'm kind of a bookworm/nerd/geek. Yes, I have read the Twilight Series. No, I'm not obsessed. I love Shakespeare, Nathaniel Hawthorne, C.S. Lewis, and L. Frank Baum - among others, obviously.

Second Entry

Alright... I am currently sitting in a Wendy's taking full advantage of their WiFi. I am seriously exhausted. I was up after 1:00 a.m. this morning. I also managed to sleep in incredibly late this morning. I didn't get up until 7:20 a.m. And I have to be to work at 8:00 a.m. I made it on time, thankfully. But I probably looked horrible. Oh well... Life goes on.

Brian and I are currently deciding on starting our own business for web design. It will be called Briamy. We have been brainstorming for the logo and site colors this evening. I'm incredibly excited for this opportunity. I believe Brian and I will be very successful with this. We'll be whipping up some business cards and getting our name out there as soon as we can. Obviously, the wedding plans come first...

Speaking of... There are only 126 days until we wed. How fantastic is that?

I'm trying to get this blog off the ground. I've had several other blogs... And I guess after time I just end up losing interest. Not in blogging... But I lack motivation to type or I simply just don't have the time. I've been pondering life a lot lately and I seem very relaxed. Kind of "coasting" through, you could say. (Go ahead, say it...) I'm just sitting back, making mental wedding plans and crossing off items from my mental wedding checklist. And I guess since I've had a lot of time to read lately, I could split time between the two and blog a bit. So, I will definitely try to keep this one going and try to blog at least once a week.

This weekend I will be getting new tires. And oh by gosh by golly, I needed them. Brian, Robert (my "brudder"), and I were headed to GR last weekend to pick out tuxes. Robert decided to come along since he didn't know where the tux place was. Also, he figured he'd just get fitted then. Get it done and over with, I guess. (I also promised him a trip to Best Buy.*wink*) We got about 5 miles from Brian's house when we decided to turn back. My back tires are so far gone that I was fishtailing constantly. Even at 30 mph. So, we headed back to Brian's house when I could finely turn around safely. The three of us ended up taking Brian's truck. It was a tight fit, but we had a lot of fun. I am so happy that Brian and Robert struck up a friendship. My two best friends have become friends. And it's not awkward at all when the three of us are together. Not to mention, Robert has us laughing our booties off constantly.

And with that happy note, I think I will end this blog.

I have also decided that at the end of each blog I will post a picture. And if it is one of my favorite pictures, I'll give a description.
This picture was taken at the Warren Dunes State Park where Brian proposed to me. I thought it was a very majestic a peaceful picture. I recently took a photoshop "class" with Brian. And I have added a few minor changes.
