So, even though we're in a nice secluded area in the woods... There's one negative to it; LEAVES.
Take this amount of leaves...
Those leaves came out of this area. And as you can see, we're not totally finished. Can you believe it? ALL of those leaves came out of that tiny of an area. :/
Even though we did a lot of raking today, we managed to spruce up our front porch.
I chose some vibrant flowers for the front. I want to get a hummingbird feeder eventually.
Some are a little too vibrant. :)
Brian picked these out. :)
And now, a Maggie Moment. I freaking LOVE taking pictures of Maggie. She's not only beautiful, but she's VERY photogenic.
If she were in school, this would be her senior portrait. :D
That's all for now!
My husband and I have been married for two years now. This blog includes what's going on in our lives, recipes we've tried, and a ton of pictures of our cats and puppies. :)
About Me
- Amy Faith
- I live on 6 deeply wooded acres in the boonies of Middleville, MI. I'm married to an amazing man, Brian. He's pretty much the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm a big animal lover. I have 5 cats; Bella (6), Cognac (3), Georgia (3), Maggie (2), & Auggie (8-9mos.) We recently lost our kittens, Aesop & Amelia, to a battle with Feline Leukemia. I feel the need to mention them. They were amazing beings that showed unconditional love like no other cats I've had. I also have Cheech (9) that I'm fostering. We have two puppies; Charlie & Henry. Having a blast! I'm a dabbler in photography, photo shop, & crafts. I'm kind of a bookworm/nerd/geek. Yes, I have read the Twilight Series. No, I'm not obsessed. I love Shakespeare, Nathaniel Hawthorne, C.S. Lewis, and L. Frank Baum - among others, obviously.

Fuzzy
Yesterday, I attended a baby shower for my Sister-in-Law and I just wanted to share a couple pictures of the items that my cousin, Addie, and I both made.
I crocheted this baby blanket to match their safari theme. So fuzzy!
Addie, who is far more skilled in knitting, made this teddy bear and booties. (Booties are crocheted. Bear is knitted.)
The booties aren't intended for the bear to wear... He just stood up perfectly in them for a picture. :)
Booties.
Face detail. :)

Spring Is Here. (Finally.)
Well, it's nice to see that all of the snow is gone. I just wanted to share with you what our view looks like every night...
Relaxing. :)
Even some flowers are coming up through our bajillion leaves...
We seem to be overrun with goldfinches. It's like they're taking over the world or something. (Sorry for the small picture.)
Nothing really new to report for Charlie and Henry... Just two new(er) pictures. :)
Here are a couple new pictures of Georgia and Bella. I don't know why Bella always looks so grumpy.
Nothing really new to report with the cats other than we took Cheech to the vet. He had been spraying/peeing randomly in our house and we couldn't take it anymore. We got him to the vet. He doesn't have a UTI. They put him on chicken flavored kitty prozac. He seems to actually be a ton happier. He's more cheerful. And I haven't noticed any spraying. So, hopefully that's for the best. Since moving here he has put his weight back on. So, he's 14.8 pounds now. We had a blood test done on him and he's in perfect health for his age.

His First Week
Well, Auggie (Festival) has been home for a little over a week now. Maggie went in for her vaccinations on Saturday. Since I noticed that one of Auggie's sutures was still in his eye, we had him tag along. Our vet thinks his incision looks really good. He advised us to rub a little bit of vitamin E oil on it. And when Charlie and Henry go in for their neuterings next month to have Auggie tag along and he'll remove the suture. He wanted it to be in there for a while longer.
Anyway... Here are some pictures of the awesome little guy:
Sleeping on the cat tower. :)
Action shot!
Many thanks to Grandma and Grandpa McKinley for the new toys!
And here's a picture of Maggie because she's so pretty.
